Pictures in Outlook Desktop do not display correctly from Aliexpress
Looks like there is an issue rendering emails BUT ONLY it seems in Outlook Desktop , all other versions and types of Outlook are fixable via Options etc in Outlook , like "safe senders " and Trust settings and "Display / Download pictures in email "settings.
I have experienced this in Outlook 2013/2016/2019/2021 LTSC Desktop versions ( Win 10 pro ) , its most annoying as mentioned elsewhere , replying or sending the received email to drafts instantly fixes the issue , and all pictures appear !!
In Outlook Desktop navigate to the Email that won't show pictures correctly :
Double click message to open a full window rather than in preview pane , then click reply , once reply gets populated on screen with pictures , hover over an image , press and hold CTRL + Left Click.
This should open a Browser window of the Item in image in your Default Browser.
Because of this I can only assume its an Outlook issue though maybe Aliexpress could modify their sales emails to get around it ?
Anyone know how to contact Aliexpress Sales Department to tell them that their emails don't render in Outlook Desktop , because I have tried but cannot get any further than a Rep on CHAT who says he will pass info on ??
I have tried to report this to Aliexpress a couple of times over the last 3 months , with no resolution , so obviously it is not getting to where it needs to go.
But TBH , I personally think this should be fixed Microsofts end , as all affected emails have pictures displaying fine in other email programs and ALL OTHER Outlook versions , just not DESKTOP OUTLOOK .
Most Senders emails show pictures fine in Outlook Desktop and Aliexpress emails show some pictures , so my settings cannot be wrong .
Strange , also the pictures are all there :
C:\Users\*******\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\IE
even the ones that don't show in initial email !!
Is this because Outlook Desktop renders emails with Word rather than a Browser , even on the newest Outlook Desktop 2021 ?
Yet Outlook Desktop for MAC uses a Browser base , and is fine.
