OptionalUpdates_eGalaxyTouch

Hi,

I want to uninstall drivers installed via windows optional driver update.

I installed a driver, eGalaxyTouch, via windows optional driver update (Settings->Windows Update->View optional updates->Driver updates) which replaced "HID - compliant touch screen" driver under "Human Interface Devices" with "USB Touchscreen Controller (Universal)" driver under "Mice and other pointing devices".

Now, I want to uninstall the driver and revert back to previous driver. I tried.

  1. un-installing updates (Settings->View update history->uninstall updates). Though I was not sure which exact version to uninstall. I installed based on matching dates.
  2. un-installing "USB Touchscreen Controller (Universal)" driver under "Mice and other pointing devices" in device manager. But I am left with a yellow bang, and it gets installed on system reboot.

    Hello,

You can try to disable auto update and see if it will work:

    • Open System Properties: Press Win + Pause/Break to open the System window.
    • Access Device Installation Settings: Click on "Advanced system settings" on the left-hand side.
    • In the System Properties window, go to the "Hardware" tab and click on "Device Installation Settings."
    • Disable Automatic Driver Updates: Select "No (your device might not work as expected)" and then click "Save Changes."
