Hi Mate,

I have an AzureAD Connect server (OS 2012) still running version 1.1 but it stopped working on 27Oct2023, and now I can not switch the server to stagging mode via GUI due to it can not start connecting or synchronizing to MS Azure service.

I used PS script to export the current config from the old to the new AzureAD Server ver 2.2.80 (OS2019), successfully imported and ran the new server to staging mode.

So, now my question is how to make the old server in staging mode by Powershell or from the Entra portal.

Much appreciate your help...

Thank you

    Hi Dong,

You can simply uninstall Azure AD connect from the old server, and then delete it from the Azure AD portal, if you navigate here and click on the "Service Name" - https://portal.azure.com/#view/Microsoft_Azure_ADHybridHealth/AadHealthMenuBlade/~/SyncServicesList

You should see both servers listed, and you can delete the old / decommissioned server.

Let me know if you have any queries or this does not work for any reason and I would be happy to help!
