When User logs into the Windows 2019 server, User Profile is not getting created and User is prompted that "he has been signed with Temporary Profile. He can't access your files and the files created in this profile will be deleted when he sign out" in Status Bar.

No SID key with bak nor SID key related to User Profile name in Profile List registry Key seen as of now.

Any history here? Sounds like the disk permissions may have been altered.

It's weird. No history. We can see his User profile name in Task Manager's Users tab when he logins, we don't see his user profile created in C:\Users folder. He gets message that he has signed in using temp user

Ok well assuming it's a glitched up new install I'd clean install it again, patch fully and move on.

    Hello R, Raghu (GDN India)

Firstly, I suggest that we could check for update, if any update could be found, please install it.

Then we could check the options below:

    Check disk space:

Ensure that there is sufficient disk space available on the server’s system drive. If the disk is full, it can prevent the creation of user profiles.

    Check user profile permissions:

Make sure that the user has appropriate permissions to create and access their user profile folder.

Navigate to the “C:\Users” directory and ensure that the user has permission to create a folder with their username.

If necessary, adjust the folder permissions to allow the user to create their profile folder.

    Check event logs:

Open the Event Viewer by pressing Windows + R, typing “eventvwr.msc”, and pressing Enter.

Navigate to “Windows Logs” > “Application” and “Windows Logs” > “System” to check for any related error or warning messages.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
