Deleting temp files

Question

My c drive is almost full and when i checked %temp% using run program 28 gb temp files were found. Is it okay if i delete them all as i have various apps on my laptop like fifa 19 and gta 5 will it cause such apps or any other apps any problem Will clearing this temp files will help?

Hi @Atharva Jagtap ,

basically deleting the content of a temp folder should not have a negativ effect if the temp folder is used properly just for storing temporary files by users or apps. No one should save important files in a temp folder.

But as always: Deleting files is on your own risk.

In most situations, temp files can be deleted. However, it is advisable to backup it to another driver before deleting it.

Yes, you can delete them. The ones in use will need to remain.
