Can't get my verification code when adding an account to authenticator

I am trying to add a new work account to my microsoft authenticator app on my mobile. I add all the login details but it then asks for the verification code from my authenticator app on my mobile. I can't access any codes as I'm stuck on this page. How do I get out of this loop?

    You'll need the work admins to reset the account so a new QR code can be generated with which you can relink the authentication device to your account.
