Hey! So I've been really struggling with this one lately, basically for some unknown reasons windows decided not to let me use right mouse button click on apps that are located on the desktop, and on apps that are located in start menu as well, so RMB just doesn't work. A help would be highly appreciated.

Can You boot into Safe mode?

If, then open Command Prompt there and type the following:

sfc /scannow and hit the Enter key.

Again, in the Command Prompt type the following command followed by heating the Enter key:

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    Hello Giorgi Siboshvili

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve this problem:

1.I suggest that we could try to create a new user account to log on the machine. Check if the issue still happened. Then Check for update, if any update could be found, install it firstly. Restart to check.

    1. According to your description, I consider that we'd better try to confirm the right mouse button work normally.

Then try to update your mouse drivers:

Outdated or incompatible mouse drivers can cause issues with mouse functionality. Visit the manufacturer’s website and download the latest drivers for your mouse model. Install the drivers and see if it resolves the problem.

    3.Check mouse settings:

Open the Control Panel and go to “Hardware and Sound” > “Mouse”.

In the Mouse Properties window, ensure that the right button is set as the primary button.

You can also try changing the double-click speed or adjusting other mouse settings to see if it makes any difference.

    4.Perform a clean boot:

Start your computer in a clean boot state to check if any third-party applications or services are causing conflicts with the right mouse button.

Press Windows + R, type “msconfig” and press Enter.

In the System Configuration window, go to the “Services” tab and check the “Hide all Microsoft services” box. Then click “Disable all”.

Go to the “Startup” tab and click “Open Task Manager”.

In the Task Manager, disable all startup items.

Close the Task Manager and click “OK” in the System Configuration window.

Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved. If it is, then enable the services and startup items one by one to identify the problematic one.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
