It sounds as if you have issued the command SET ROWCOUNT 1 at some point. Run SET ROWCOUNT 0 to get out of this.

I have an headache of a problem, im in school learning SQL and have a easy assignment to create a bowling database, nothing that really matters because i have had the problem with previous assignments. When running the INSER INTO part it just affects the first row, the last 0 is added to try and solve the issue so it dosent have anything to do with it and it is the exact same thing when trying to add multiply rows in another script, how ever. the exact same script works om my stationary computure at home, this problem only occur on my computure. The script works fine on my friends laptop aswell and we have the exact same orderd on the same day and my teacher have no ide.
Im working in SSMS and have tried removing and reinstalling both the sql server on my computor and SSMS, i have also reset all settings in SSMS

2023-12-19T10:56:17.5066667+00:00 Sorry never mind, now it worked. It didnt work the first time but now i deleted the database and ran the SET ROWCOUNT 0 command, refreshed the query window with Ctrl + R and now it seems to work, for now atleast. Thank you so much!

2023-12-19T21:57:55.5766667+00:00 SET ROWCOUNT only affects the current session, so if you disconnected or ran from a new window that alone would have helped.
Another faint possibility is that there was a trigger on the table. Who knows, maybe someone of your mates were pulling your legs? :--)

2024-01-03T09:40:40.3233333+00:00 That is very strange, I just wrote an exercise on my laptop now again and the same problem have occured, now it was easy to fix since I know what the problem is but I have no ide what is causing it. I havent writen any code since I fixed it last time, any ides?

2024-01-05T12:53:20.2666667+00:00 Found the problem, there is a setting in Tools>Options>Query Execution where you can set a standard ROWCOUNT which you can scroll to change so i must have looked for some setting and accidentally scrolled on it while trying to scroll down...

2024-01-05T21:56:12.7966667+00:00 Great to hear that you found the answer. I had almost forgotten that this option exists. Overall, I don't like SET ROWCOUNT, and having it as general option in SSMS is an accident waiting to happen. As you have learnt the hard way.

2023-12-19T10:42:48.0933333+00:00 No becouse i have an identity (1,1) on timeId so it automatically generate a number for each row created, and i have done exactly this before and it have worked great. Another code that i have the same problem looks exactly the same but works on my friend laptop (exatly the same as mine bought within 2 days of eachother), my own stationary computor and my teachers laptop.
