SSMS v19.2.56 System Managed Identity & Registered Servers (CMS)

(Is very simple)
When you want connect to Using System Management Identity [Entra], you need keep empty the User

(This works perfect and can connect with out problems)

BUT, when you want define this connection as Server Registration you can't save it

(because put something in "User Assigned" is mandatory to enable save button )

(the "test" is enabled & works fine, but you can't save the connection)

    Alberto Ramon this is a limitation of Central Management Server in that it doesn't support a blank username. Updating CMS to include support for Azure auth is unfortunately outside the scope of SSMS, as it requires updates to msdb.
