So I was trying to install NFS Rivals and recieved and error that it needs Direct3D 10.0 or newer, I had already updated directx and graphics driver to latest. So, I looked for this error on web and came across a video, I followed the steps and changed my Intel HD Graphics display adapter to Microsoft Basic adapter. After Changing it I noticed that direct3d 10.0 is now 12.1 however the resolution got messed, it was 1024x768 in Intel but now it was 1080x700 and everything was looking very large even the icons, and I cannot find a possible way to change the resolution while keeping Microsoft drivers.

    Hello,

Basic Display Adapter is a default driver that Windows uses when it cannot find a suitable driver for a graphics card. It provides basic functionality but may not support all features of the graphics hardware, including higher resolutions.

You could try running the game in compatibility mode: right-click on the game's executable file, go to "Properties," and navigate to the "Compatibility" tab.
