Convert VMWare Workstation VM (or OVF) to Hyper-V (on Windows 10)

Hello,

I currently have a virtual lab running on VMWare Workstation 15. I would like to convert this over to Hyper-V, running on Windows 10.

I see there is a utility call Microsoft Virtual Machine Converter (MVMC). I tried using this but it only seems to want to convert from VSphere/VCenter to Hyper-V. There is no mention of OVF and this utility looks like it is deprecated.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Angelo

    Hi,

Microsoft provides an OVF Import/Export tool as part of System Center 2012’s Virtual Machine Manager add-on.

or there should be a free utility from Microsoft.

MVMC is no longer available but search for the various V2V tools available from third party.
