Adding someone on Teams chat and keep the chat history

When I try to add someone to a chat on Teams, I don't see the option to include chat history, only to add the person I am trying to add.
When I looked on Microsofts website..it had a box that you could check to include the chat history. Can someone help me figure out how to include the chat history?

So what I interpret from this conversation is you must have 3 people in current chat before the option to include chat history is available (visible) to select.

Not good. A group chat is 2 people plus 1 which I am trying to add. Coders please make it happen.

To make sure you have the chat history option, you should ensure:

1)You have the chat history in your group chat before adding this person.

2)Group chat should at least have 3 persons

3)Try to rename your group name and add the person again

I noticed when I tried in another chat that had 3 people in it, the option in the dialogue box did include chat history. Is there not a way to have this for 2 people in a group trying to add a third person?

There is no way to add the third person for 2 people in a group. As I said before, the group chat should have at least 3 people can have this option.

This is not a good situation. I want to add others to my 1:1 chat and have them see the history, and apparently Microsoft took this feature away. I'm very disappointed.

I have the same question. This is definitely a miss with Teams functionality.
