Backup & Restore VM

Hi

Is it possible to backup my current vm & remove it. Planning to restore this vm maybe in few months time.
Will this cut cost?

As mentioned by @Leon Laude you can accomplish this scenario.

After successful backup of the VM in question, if you remove it the backup would still exist within the vault as long as the vault exist.

Once the VM is deleted you will not be billed for compute but you will still incur storage cost for the VM backup that is lying in the vault.
