How do I stop Teams sending a meeting invite to everyone in the Group

I am currently trying to set up a shared calendar in Teams that allows everyone to view any upcoming meetings, but without inviting everyone in the group to those meetings. I want to use it as a management tool to look at my team's capacity rather than needing everyone to attend every meeting.

I tried creating a group calendar in Sharepoint and linking it back to the Teams site, but as soon as I add the Team or Channel into the invite its pushing the invite out to everyone. I also looked to see if there was a way I could do it through Outlook so that the meeting goes to the group calendar without sending invites but can't see an obvious way to do this.

    @Ian Coady

    Based on our search, there is no way to stop Teams meeting invitations to others when initiating a meeting. To get this feature more quickly, we recommend you give the feedback in Teams UserVoice. Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future. Thanks for your understanding and patience!
