How to find SharePoint server name

I am using a 3rd party software to conduct a scan of SharePoint to identify spikes in usage.

It requires the server name (not the URL) - I cannot find this anywhere. All the online sources I have found either seem to be referring to outdated systems or just don't work for me.

Is there anywhere this can be located in SharePoint admin.

@matthew ch To find the server name for SharePoint, you can try the following steps:

    1. Open the SharePoint Central Administration website.
    2. Click on System Settings.
    3. Click on Servers.
    4. The server name should be listed under the Server Name column.

    Hi @Matthew Ch ,

Are you using SharePoint On-Premises or SharePoint Online?

If it's SharePoint On-Premises, you can check your server name in Central Administration->Manage servers in this farm.

If it's SharePoint Online, only the tenant name exists, which is in the site url https://tenant name.sharepoint.com/sites/yoursite
