Create a new Tenant

I am logged in to Azure portal using @outlook.com user and I land normally in the default organization.

I want to create a new Tenant but when creating one, I only get the option to create an Azure AD B2C Tenant while I want to create a "Microsoft Entra ID" Tenant but it is dimmed out.

I want to use the new tenant to manage my partnership with Microsoft also to build the website and follow up later on.

@Simon Issa To create a new tenant in Microsoft Entra ID, you can follow these steps:

Sign in to the Azure portal using your @outlook.com user account.

From the Azure portal menu, select Microsoft Entra ID.

Navigate to Identity > Overview > Manage tenants.

Select Create.

On the Basics tab, select the type of tenant you want to create, either Microsoft Entra ID or Microsoft Entra ID (B2C).

Select Next: Configuration to move to the Configuration tab.

On the Configuration tab, enter the following information:

Type your desired Organization name (for example Contoso Organization) into the Organization name box.

Type your desired Initial domain name (for example Contosoorg) into the Initial domain name box.

Select your desired Country/Region or leave the United States option in the Country or region box.

Select Next: Review + Create.

Review the information you entered and if the information is correct, select Create in the lower left corner.

Your new tenant is created with the domain contoso.onmicrosoft.com. You can now use the new tenant to manage your partnership with Microsoft and build your website <sup>1</sup>.

Thanks for reaching out.

Earlier, we were allowing the establishment of additional free Microsoft Entra trial tenants using an existing free Microsoft Entra trial tenant.

However, our security team recently identified this practice for fraudulent and abusive activities.

In order to enhance your organization's security, Microsoft is now limiting this functionality to only those customers who have paid Microsoft Entra P1/P2 license. Customers on trial license will not be able to create additional tenants from the Microsoft Entra admin center. Customers in this situation who need a new trial tenant can sign up for a Free Azure Account.
