I'm having an hard time understanding the LICENSE of Visual studio.
I'm part of a medium company < 250 emplyees and I would like to develope softwares for internal use that will be used just by me or one/two other emplyess in the company.
The software won't be sold and it's just intended for internal use.
Am I allowed to use the community edition or do I need to use the Professional/Enterprise?
From what I'm understanding my case should fall under page 8 of the Licensing Whitepaper for the Microsoft Visual Studio Product Family and Visual Studio Subscriptions
Organizations
Any number of users within an organization can use Visual Studio Community for the following scenarios:
• [...]
• Any number of users may use the software to develop and test device drivers for the Windows
operating system.
If your organization is not an "enterprise" as defined in the Visual Studio Community 2022 EULA then according to the EULA at 1.b.vi "If none of the above apply, and you are also not an enterprise (defined below), then up to 5 of your individual users can use the software concurrently to develop and test your applications."
So you should verify that your organization does not meet the "enterprise" definition which is "...any organization and its affiliates who collectively have either (a) more than 250 PCs or users or (b) one million U.S. dollars (or the equivalent in other currencies) in annual revenues, and “affiliates” means those entities that control (via majority ownership), are controlled by, or are under common control with an organization."

As RLWA32 suggests, if your company is not an “enterprise”, you can use the Community edition.
