In the new teams the option for contacts is not there. This is a useful feature. A) why was this removed in the new teams and B) will Microsoft add this feature back to the new teams?

Is the contacts feature going to be added back into the new teams?
The people app does not seem to be the same as the previous version of contacts.
You cannot see the status of the contact in people that I can see vs the previous version of teams.
how do get the status of the individual?
Contacts now moved to the new People app. Here are some of the changes you see.

I sincerely hope that MS will add status visibility when browsing a group of contacts. If you believe that needing to dumpster-dive into every contact in order to see who is available from a group is a viable solution, I strongly urge you to get with the Excel development team and ask them to hide all calculated cell values unless a user clicks on that specific cell... because who would want to be able to quickly evaluate large chunks of information at a glance anyway? This type of echo-chambered lets fix what's not broken mentality is what led to the Win 8.0 Charms fiasco.
