I'm new to this and have not been able to save any files to my NAS. I am trying to rip my DVDs to the device using Plex Premium on my laptop. Everything works fine but when I try to map a drive for the NAS I get "Windows cannot access \DS1522". I've confirmed SMB File Sharing is on and a few other things.

That was a great link you provided. Thanks. I ensured ports 5000 and 5001 are open. My NAS is only used as a media server so I don't need port forwarding (correct me if I am wrong). The firewall on my router isn't enabled. I'm still getting the same message. "Windows cannot access \DS1522"
Hi,
Try to turn off password-protected sharing via:
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings
Besides, press Win + R, type optionalfeatures.exe and end with Enter. Under SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support section:
Tick the box next to SMB 1.0/CIFS Client.
Untick the boxes for both SMB 1.0/CIFS Automatic Removal and also SMB 1.0/CIFS Server.
Save the change and check the result.
Thanks for the help. I actually had to change some port settings in Plex media server and change some file names. It was a process.
