Can't connect to printer

Question

After windows update 2004 done, the computer lost its connection to one of our network printers.

I tried to reconnect but it always failing, error is something about the driver.

I downloaded the latest driver and install it on the Printer Server but still didn't work.

When I connect this is what the error displayed.

Then when I hit OK, it will ask for a driver. So I downloaded the latest driver and save it to this directory

After clicking OK, windows does not accept the driver.

The computer can connect to other network printers, this is the only computer having this problem.

Other computers have Windows 2004 version and do not any issue with network printers connection.

Here are some general steps you may try:

1.Make sure the Printer IP address is on the same network with PC;

2.Check the share permissions given to the printer, Right click on printer select properties;

3.Uninstall your current printer from device manager, then try install the Windows Built-In driver;

Don't forget this is a string comparison. The shared printer must precisely match the name of the print driver you are installing on the client. PCL != PS, that driver name needs to be exact,
