I can no longer access NAS devices. I have (2) NAS: Synology DS420+ and WDEX4100, that I have been using for several years, mapped to Y and Z respectively. A couple days ago, I lost connectivity. Came in to my office in the morning and the drives were gone from File Explorer. I cannot get them back. I have tried (net use (dive letter): "\xxx.xxx.x.xxx\sharename" /user:"password" /persistent:Yes), but despite receiving the "success' message, the letters do not show up in FE, Disk Management, like they once did. Credential Manager shows the IP address, but I cannot access them. I can access each NAS via typing the IP address in a browser run all the native Control Panel features for each NAS, so the network connection is there. For the Synology, I can also run 'Synology Assistant', the NAS shows up with its IP address. Again, these NAS units have been mapped and working fine for several years until Monday morning. I have contacted both WD and Synology support, they have had me run utilities and send them log files. Both say their units are working as intended and should be connecting, but there is an issue with Windows.
SMB 1.0 is enabled.
I have screen shots from File Explorer/Map network drive, Disk Management, Windows Credential Manager, CMD window (run as admin), etc. Nothing makes sense other than something updated in Windows and caused this, since the PC had restarted overnight, apparently from a Windows Update. This despite the system being set up to NOT automatically install updates..
