WINDOWS UPDATE SETTINGS IS GREYED OUT

Question

We're pushed windows patchs via WSUS services but we facing the INSTALL option is disabled on windows update page.

we restarted the windows update services and rename the software distribution folder but still facing the same issue

It’s Gayed out because this setting is managed through group policy as mentioned in the message this option is managed is managed by your organization.

If you are using a local administrator account you can run rsop.msc console or run this command gpresult /H c:\gpresult.html to check all gpo settings applied on your server.

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

If your machine in the domain or not?

If it is in domain, you can export the gpresult file as Thameur-BOURBITA mentioned and check if there is any gpo setting related to Windows update or disable Windows update under "Computer Details" within gpresult.html.

Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update.

If the machine is in the workgroup, you can open gpedit.msc on the machine, and check if there is any local group policy setting related to Windows update or disable Windows update under Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update.
