Sharepoint shared calendar

Hello,

I would like to add a sharepoint calendar to outlook (connect to outlook)

I can add the calendar to outlook without any problems, but not a single task is visible in the calendar, and when I start send/receive all folders, an error pops up

Calendar has more than 5000 items

Is it posible to increase treshold in Sharepoint online to more than 5000.

According to technet forum it is not posible to increase limit

"Because SharePoint online currently has no way to increase the threshold, it is recommended that you reduce the number of items in the calendar to within the threshold. Then try again. "

If it's like that what is the best method for archiving old items in the calendar?

Hi @fsdg ,

The error message indicates that the calendar has more than 5000 items, which is the default threshold enforced by SharePoint Online . Unfortunately, it is not possible to increase this limit .

As a workaround, you can archive old items in the calendar to reduce the number of items within the threshold. One way to do this is to create a new calendar and move all old items to it that meet the following criteria: Older than a specific date / Non-recurring events and so on.
