I would like the sublinks in the left menu of a SharePoint site to be permanently visible. Currently, they appear when the arrow is clicked, but disappear again when I enter a sublink. How can I achieve this?

    Hi @Radu TIRNACOP,

I'm afraid the short answer to your question is No. It is impossible to make sub links in the left navigation expanded even considering custom development. This is by design in SharePoint Online.

I would suggest you post a thread in this feedback portal: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/06735c62-321c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472. SharePoint product team actively monitors questions there and will take your idea into consideration.

    Hey Radu

    You can follow these steps.

1.Go to your SharePoint site and navigate to the site where you want to modify the left menu.

    1. Click on the gear icon in the top-right corner to open the settings menu and select "Edit page."
    2. On the page, locate the left menu section. It is typically found on the left side of the page.
    3. Hover over the left menu section, and you should see a small pencil icon appear. Click on it to start editing the left menu.
    4. In the left menu editing mode, you'll find two tabs: "Edit Links" and "Layout." Make sure you're in the "Edit Links" tab.
    5. Scroll down and look for the sublinks that you want to make permanently visible.
    6. Click on the arrow icon next to a sublink to expand its options.
    7. In the expanded options, you'll find a checkbox labeled "Show Subsites". Check this box to make the sublinks permanently visible.
    8. Repeat steps 7 and 8 for each sublink that you want to make permanently visible.
    9. Once you have checked the "Show Subsites" checkbox for all the desired sublinks, click on the "Save" button to apply the changes.
    10. Exit the edit mode by clicking on "Exit Edit Mode" or by hitting the "Esc" key on your keyboard.
