Hi,

I notice that to upgrade from windows 10/11 Pro to Enterprise E5, the pre-requisite qualifying OS must be WIndows Enterprise E3 first.

The official statement from Microsoft from the link below seems to suggest the pre-requisite.

Are there any way that WIndows 10/11 pro can be upgraded directly to WIndows Enterprise E5?

Since E3 and E5 is subscription base, does this means we have to subscriobe to E3 first, upgrade from Windows pro to Enterprise E3, and then subscribe to E5? (double subscription?).

    Hello Dan,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

You can upgrade from Windows 10/11 Pro to Windows Enterprise E5 directly and skip E3 if only you have a licensed version of Windows 10 Pro or Windows 11 Pro to activate the subscription.

Please refer to below link for further information.
