I am connecting my laptop via HDMI to an AVR receiver that has a speaker's configuration as 5.1.2. Is there a way to configure my Windows for that configuration?

Thanks

Firstly, check if your AVR supports Dolby Atmos and confirm its compatibility with your Windows version.

Right-click the Speaker icon in your taskbar's notification area and select Sounds.

In the Playback tab, locate your AVR receiver (it might have the receiver's name or "Digital Output").

Right-click the receiver and choose Set as Default Device.

Right-click the receiver again and select Properties.

    Go to the Advanced tab.

Under Playback device, choose 5.1 surround

Click Test Speakers to verify sound is coming from all channels

Enable Dolby Atom ( get from Microsoft Store app)

Choose Home Theater as your setup.

Enable Dolby Atmos for home theater.
