I have transferred my domain host from Google, but I am not receiving emails. Is there an amount of time I need to wait for the transfer to be complete, or is there something I can do to speed up the process?

I couldn't find anything specific to help me.
I had my domain hosted by google. I didn't like the way the email was set up, so I decided to switch to MSoft. Will I need to perform a data migration?
