The 'Tax Profile' is going to expire on 12/31/2020, on updating and submitting all the details to renew the tax profile, the status changes to "Pending Microsoft validation", but after few days the status is again "Action required" and no reason is provided on why it was rejected. I need help in understanding what is the issue with my tax profile submission.

I have to say that only the Store team knows why your profile is rejected. But you could try to contact them directly. Please open a free support ticket here: Contact Us.
Choose to Contact us, select Dashboard for Topic, and select Account setup and management for issue type. Then you could get 1:1 support about this and you could ask for more information about your issue.
