Upgrade laptop PC HP from windows 10 to 11 - fear of losing softwares & Norton Security

Hi Microsoft,

I have a portable PC HP Windows 10. I am planning to upgrade to Windows 11 during this year.  My “security windows” indicates that my PC has TPM 2.0 which is now disabled and I "think" can be hopefully enabled through "advanced startup". Windows 11 cannot be loaded without TPM 2.0 enabled.

Your device meets the standard hardware security requirements. This means that your device supports memory integrity and kernel isolation and also features:

§  TPM 2.0 (also called security processor)

§  Secure boot enabled

§  DEP

Is it worth enabling TMP 2.0 while still in Windows 10?

When loading Windows 11, will it keep intact my Norton antivirus software, my Microsoft suite family 2010, my acrobat or will I need to load them again?  I am nervous about losing my Norton.

Thank you very much

    Hello

For upgrading machine from windows 10 to windows 11, you can choose the option "Keep personal files and apps" to help save data, but for the sake of double security, it is recommended that you back up your important data first to prevent unknown issue during the upgrade.

Yes, TPM 2.0 is a hardware requirement for windows 11 so it need to be enabled. Generally if your app is compatible with windows 11, it works after the upgrade, but as Norton Security is a 3rd party app, it is suggested to check if there is any notifications from the Norton website. Also it is suggested to backup the important files before perform upgrade.
