I am contemplating buying a Surface Pro 7. I have a Microsoft 365 subscription. Will a Surface Pro 7 with Windows 10 Home run Excel macros?

    Hi @Sven Eriksen ,
Excel VBA only runs on Excel desktop, i.e. Excel for Windows or Excel for Mac. The tablet versions for Excel for Android /iPad do not run VBA.

If you're running Windows 10, Excel VBA is available.

    Hope it's helpful.

Hi emizhang-msft, I take it your answer is YES a Surface Pro 7 (2-in-1 tablet) running Windows 10 (Home or Pro) will run VBA macros (no restrictions). How can I get Microsoft itself to confirm this, before I buy it? Probably best to buy it from the Microsoft Store to be certain. Do you agree?

    Hi @Sven Eriksen ,
In my opinion you can try to download a trial Office product and check if the VBA is possible in Surface Pro 7 with Windows 10.

    Hi emizhang-msft,
I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I have an Office (365) subscription install available to me no problem, but I haven't yet purchased the Surface Pro 7.
This is the issue: I do not want to buy the Surface Pro 7 (which comes with Windows 10 Home) only to find that Excel macros won't run. The Sales people will always say that it will, but I don't trust them. It all sounds so wonderful in the stores and online, but it's only when you take it home, set it up and start using it that you discover the truth.
In your experience, if I buy the Surface Pro 7 from the Microsoft Store and then discover that it won't run my main business application (which is based on Excel macros), will Microsoft let me return the product for a full refund?
    Regards Sven
