Hi Folks,

I have two Vnets that do not delete. These Vnets were created with Wordpress. I've tried deleting these vnets in every way, but they won't delete them. Apparently the problem is related to a delegation subnet that has Microsoft.DBforMySQL/flexibleServer, but all related resources have already been deleted. I've even tried to recreate the WebApp, but without success. Is there anything else I can do to try to delete it?

This is a Visual Studio Enterprise subscription, so I cannot open a ticket with Microsoft.

Failed to delete virtual network 'VirtualNetwork.ReactView'. Error: Subnet hdpictures-223167a705-dbsubnet is in use by /subscriptions/3229f8c6-6b63-4cdf-9b94-4e567be3408b/resourceGroups/E-Commerce/providers/Microsoft.Network/virtualNetworks/hdpictures-19fb62cf5d-vnet/subnets/hdpictures-223167a705-dbsubnet/serviceAssociationLinks/6385d07c-7e07-5138-b301-df963f2c5aba-sal and cannot be deleted. In order to delete the subnet, delete all the resources within the subnet. See aka.ms/deletesubnet.

Hi Johnata,

You have to set the delegation to 'none' in each subnet within the VNET.
Go to the VNET, then click Subnets. You will get an overview of all your subnets within that VNET, and in the 'delegated to' column you will see which subnet has a delegation.
To remove the delegation you have to select the subnet, the scroll a bit down and set the "Subnet delegation" to "none".

Hi Paul.

When I try to modify the delegation I get this error

Failed to save subnet 'hdpictures-223167a705-dbsubnet'. Error: 'Subnet hdpictures-19fb62cf5d-vnet/hdpictures-223167a705-dbsubnet requires any of the following delegation(s) [Microsoft.DBforMySQL/flexibleServers] to reference service association link /subscriptions/3229f8c6-6b63-4cdf-9b94-4e567be3408b/resourceGroups/E-Commerce/providers/Microsoft.Network/virtualNetworks/hdpictures-19fb62cf5d-vnet/subnets/hdpictures-223167a705-dbsubnet/serviceAssociationLinks/6385d07c-7e07-5138-b301-df963f2c5aba-sal.'

Hi Johnata,

Yes, as suggested by @Paul den Haan

As the deletion blocked in the backend a support request will be required here to remove the subnet delegation and to delete the Virtual Network.

Could you please send an email to azcommunity@microsoft.com with the details below so that I can enable a one-time free support ticket for you in this case.

When I try send the mail, I receive an error
550 5.7.133 RESOLVER.RST.SenderNotAuthenticatedForGroup;
authentication required; Delivery restriction check failed because the sender was not authenticated when sending to this group
