Dear Experts,

I'm running a Windows 11 desktop PC and I have a Synology NAS in my home network. I'm trying to copy my files from an HDD drive to my NAS storage pool.

The network cable is 1GB speed, and the NAS and the Windows PC are both connected to the same switch with cables. I checked that the HDD seems normal in Windows Performance, it's showing 100MB capacity. My question is, what might be the bottleneck of this? now the copying speed is only up to 10MB per second.

    Hi,

It may be affected by many factors, including system settings, system resources usage, NAS device performance etc.

In general, you may reference below link for step-by-step troubleshooting and narrow down the problem:

What can I do when the file transfer via Windows (SMB/CIFS) is slow?

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,
