Windows OS Partition

Question

Recently latest windows server 2022 OS (21H2 OS Build 20348.2113) Automatically change Drive partition number. Because of this it's impossible to extend the primary partition (something very common when working with virtual machines) without either removing the recovery partition or 3rd party paid tools.

1. According to the screenshot, the middle partition is recovery parition. We may refer to the following link to recreate the recovery partition.

2. The built-in disk management tool only support to extend the disk space to the partition after the primary partition. We may try third party disk tool to extend the disk space such as diskgenuis (you can google it)
