    Hello Nicole Haynes,

Here are some potential solutions for the problems you’ve mentioned:

    1. Microsoft 365 doesn’t recognize you:

You could try signing in with a local account, then sign back in with your Microsoft account.

If you’re having trouble with Outlook, you could try using the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA).

    1. Can’t open files or apps:

Try running the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) to repair missing or corrupted system files.

Check if the Windows Update Service and the Application Identity Service are running.

If you can’t find your Office applications, try the methods suggested here.

    1. Can’t use the search bar:

Try restarting the Windows Explorer process in the Task Manager.

Run the Search and Indexing troubleshooter in the Windows Settings.

    1. Backup denied:

The error “Access is Denied” (0x80070005) during backup could occur if the recovery partition is enabled for File Backup or System Restore and is almost full. You could try not selecting the recovery partition as a backup source.

If you’re denied permission access to restored files from backup, you could try working with the permissions of the highest level folder that you can.

    Best Regards,

    Wesley Li
