We have 2 2019 Hybrid Servers in a DAG. The majority of our mailboxes are online. We have a few on prem mailboxes on the 2019 servers. I need to apply Microsoft patches to the hybrid servers. In the past, I ran a script when I put my 2013 servers in maintenance mode.

I have the following steps to put the 2019 servers in maintenance mode:

Disable services on load balancer

Drain the Transport Hub

Redirect Queued Messages

Pause the Cluster Node

Disable database copy automatic activation

Am I missing anything since they are Hybrid? Thanks for your help.

    Hello @mara2021

It looks like you have a good plan in place for putting your 2019 Hybrid Servers in maintenance mode.

Almost identical to what I found, except some differences in the order. For more details you can refer to:

(Please Note: Since the web site is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information.)

Also, if you want to run a script check out: Performing maintenance on DAG members
