After a recent bios update on my windows 11 laptop, It restarted to a bitlocker screen and asking me to enter my bitlocker encryption key. When I login to microsoft account to get the key, there's an error "TraceID: 2qDZY2lN1E2EVmw/.8.84 Something happened. Wait a bit, then try again. If the issue still persists contact us.", I've been trying for a day now, it's my work laptop and had imp data that I don't want to loss, I usually do have drive backup and restore points but sometimes you don't have time to do that on daily basis, the only mistake here was trusting microsoft I guess...

To access your BitLocker encryption key, you can use the Self-Service Portal to regain access to your computer. Follow the steps below to use the Self-Service Portal:

    1. In the Recovery KeyId field, enter a minimum of eight of the 32-digit BitLocker Key ID that is displayed on the BitLocker recovery screen of your computer.
    2. In the Reason field, select a reason for your request for the recovery key.
    3. Click Get Key. Your BitLocker recovery key is displayed in the “Your BitLocker Recovery Key” field.
    4. Enter the 48-digit code into the BitLocker recovery screen on your computer to regain access to the computer.

If you are unable to retrieve the key through the Microsoft account, you can also try using the Surface recovery image to create a USB recovery drive and boot from it to unlock the drive. If none of these methods work, you may need to contact Microsoft support for further assistance.
