RDS - UPD ou FSLOGIX ?

Hello,

I would like to know what you advise me: currently I have an RDS farm (all local) with UPD profiles on which I regularly encounter bugs.

I read that FSLOGIX was more "stable" and that there were fewer bugs. From what I have read FSLOGIX works best with Microsoft Office 365 applications. Currently apart from the Office 365 suite I do not have any other Office 365 tools on my RDS.

Do you still advise me to switch to FSLOGIX profiles?

If yes, how can I migrate my UPD profiles to FSLOGIX (because a priori FSLOGIX works with VHD and UPD with VHDX)

thanks in advance

Sincerely,

    Hello,

Even if you don't have the whole Office 365 package in your virtual setup, FSLogix can still be a big help for other Microsoft applications. It sorts out user profiles neatly, boosts how well applications run, and keeps things running smoothly in terms of system resources. It's like having a backstage manager making sure everything is in its right place.

Whether to switch to FSLogix profiles depends on your specific needs, if you're experiencing issues with profile management in your virtualized environment, such as slow logon times, profile bloat, or inconsistency between user sessions, FSLogix can provide significant improvements in these areas.

    Migrate UPD Profiles to FSLogix

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,
    Karlie Weng
