Opening Excel 2016 - SLOW

Hi All,

I have now tried almost everything.. Running Windows 10, 8GB RAM, 480GB SSD.
All the Office programs works fine, except when opening Excel - it takes from 40 seconds to 2 minutes to open Excel.

Office 2016 installed

When logged in on the machine as administrator the issue seems to be resolved, but not on a normal user profile even when running as Administrator on the profile.

I have recreated the user profile - Online Office repair - Disabled Audio drivers - Disabled protection etc.

Thank you in advance

    Hi @Martoinette Hanekom ,
I suggest you try to check if you have installed any add-ins for Excel, try to open Excel in safe mode:

Press Win + R, type "excel /safe" in the blank box, press Enter. If it works fine in safe mode, please check the add-ins in your excel and disable them.

Click File > Options > Add-Ins on the left side of the dialog. Then click the drop-down arrow at the bottom of the dialog box and select "COM Add-Ins" from the list, then click the GO button. What comes up is a list of COM-Add Ins that are loaded and running.

If this issue still existed in safe mode, try to perform Windows in clean boot:

You can disable any programs or services in clean boot and check if this problem is related to them.

Try these methods and let me know if you need more help, I'm glad to help you.
