Something happened few months ago, that required distributions are not showing notifications anymore. Available app installations still show notifications fine. I wonder, is this some generic change done in backend by Intune team or Windows Client team? We are mainly on Windows 11.

I have checked and tried following:

  1. Intune console still shows "Show notifications" on app deployments.
  2. I disabled quiet hours, but no change.
  3. There is no control mechanizm for this setting

I turned off Quiet Hours with Settings Catalog, that effects on Do not disturb as well (though not putting that on locked out setting) and I get Intune notifications back then. Those registery keys mentioned in 12 ways to fix was not found on existing computers, so I didn't bother to start testing them.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

1,Do you choose the Show all toast notifications option for the End user notifications option in the Edit assignment pane for the required app?

2,Check the Windows Event Viewer under Windows Logs and specifically the "System" and "Application" logs for any relevant events or errors related to notifications.

Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Simon

I have identified that the setting which cause this behavior is on Windows side:

The problem is, there is no relevant setting option in Settings Catalog. Need to find registery key for that.

It looks like that there are multiple forum writtenings that Do not Disturb went automatically on in Windows 11 within latest Feature upgrade.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

There are no related built-in settings in Intune to disable "Do not disturb" option. Based on my testing, I use the regshot tool to capture the registry status before and after "Do Not Disturb" was turned on, but no vain.

Thanks for your understanding! Have a nice day!|

    Best regards,
