AZURE VM FOLDER ACCESS READ AND WRITE

Question

I HAVE A REQUIREMENT, WHERE IN I HAVE AZURE WINDOWS VM

I HAVE A C DRIVE

INSIDE C DRIVE I HAVE FOLDER 'CUSTOMERFILES'

INSIDE 'CUSTOMERFILES' FOLDER I HAVE ANOTHER TWO FOLDERS 'CUSTOMERA' AND 'CUSTOMERB'

C:\CUSTOMERFILES\

                           'CUSTOMERA'

                          'CUSTOMERB'

I NEED TO PROVIDE THIS CUSTOMERA AND CUSTOMERB AS A NETWORK SHARE (SHARE THE URL) WHERE IN CUSTOMERA can dump files in their folders. CUSTOMERB will not be able to access customera and vice versa.

how can we achieve this ? any hint

The easiest solution is likely to use the Windows File Sharing feature. Please try this and let me know if you have any issues:

1. Create two local user accounts on the VM, one for each customer, and assign them the appropriate permissions on the folders.
2. Right-click on the folder you want to share and select Properties.
3. Click on the Sharing tab and then click on the Advanced Sharing button.
4. Check the Share this folder box and then click on the Permissions button.
5. Add the two local user accounts you created in step 1 and assign them the appropriate permissions.
6. Click OK to close the Permissions dialog box.
7. Click OK to close the Advanced Sharing dialog box.
8. Click Close to close the Properties dialog box.

Now, you can share the folders using the Share tab in the folder properties. The URL of the shared folder will be in the format of \\<VM name or IP address>\<share name>. For example, \\VM1\CustomerA.
