MS project wont load

Question

Hello,

I was trying to start a Project in Office 365. I can select Project, and when I got to click on "new Blank Project" it takes me to a "setting up Project" screen which times out with an error in about 5 minutes. The error I am getting indicates "something went wrong" and has a Correlation ID: 85bfc988-61c6-4e05-a69c-89e276c04a44 as a error message

I am using a 30 day trail of projects to complete a course and I'm required to us MS projects.

Any advice would be appreciated

Please give a screenshot like below to tell the version of your Office.
Open an Office application and then go to File>Account>Product Information>About…
Note: please cover your private information if there is.

Are there any detailed error messages? If yes, please give a screenshot.

Does error occur when opening other Office applications?

You could open Project in safe mode to troubleshoot macros, add-ins, and startup items and then see if the error exists.

1. Find the shortcut icon for Project.
2. Press and hold the CTRL key and double-click Project shortcut.
3. Click Yes when a window appears asking if you want to start Project in Safe Mode.
   Note: keep pressing the CTRL key until you see the notification.

If it doesn’t work, repair Office online.
