Hello, (stupidly) deleted the upper/lower filter registry trying to connect a usb portable expansion drive that wasn't showing up. Now operating system wont boot and cant access my important files. Happy to lose the laptop but not my files. 1.Cant reset with keeping files cause theres not enough disk space to do the reset. 2. Didnt have a system image saved. 3. Cant do a usb bootable drive cause other laptop is win7 and cant upgrade for free anymore. Can i re-write the upper/lower filters manually from the regedit screen? Thank you for your time.

    Hi Dan,

Thanks for your post. I totally understand your frustration on dealing with this issue. But please also understand that we have tried mostly of the possible methods. Another workaround is that you can try to remove the HDD/SSD and put into a different computer to back up any files that can be saved then replace and re-install the HDD/SSD with a new operation system.

    Best Regards,

    Ian Xue
