Any product key for server 2012?

Question

When current IT officer leave and new officer come, there is a handover period, Company uses window server 2012, as a management, I would like to know on whether product key is available or not, if yes, where to find it online? In case, server us down, new IT staff needs to reinstall server, do server 2012 iso be download from Microsoft? If yes, please provide a link, furthermore, where to find product key for server 2012? since current IT officer say nothing related to product key, Do anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Try launch this command on your Windows 2012 to extract Windows key:

wmic path softwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey

It depends on how you purchase the product, in case you purchase it from OEM like DELL, IBM , etc. The product key should be on the server and in case, you directly purchase it from Microsoft , it should be in the Microsoft website. You will need to find out where did you purchase it and who provides you the support and it is not only to reinstall Windows but also to request for support.

Hello If it is a retail license, the product key issue need to seek help from vendor. If you are using volume licensing, the product key can be checked in below website if it is phurchased from Microsoft directly, otherwise you need to contact the license saler or provider. You can also try downlaod previous Windows ISO via below link: Volume Licensing Service Center (microsoft.com) However, it is also important that Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 will end on October 10, 2023.
