Logging into RDS Server using Work Resource from Windows corrupts user profile on the server

We have 20 users logging into a Remote Desktop Server over the internet to run a VB6 program. The VB6 program itself has been running flawlessly for years. Two users are having difficulty. Sometimes when they log in using Remote App directly from Win 11, it errors out after they have used it a dozen times or so. When we recreate the user's profile on the server, they can run the remote app again for a few days before it fails again. All the rest of the users have been running it flawlessly for years! But when the "problem users" log into an RDS desktop session, and they run the VB6 program from there, there are NO problems and the User Profile does not get affected. We have no idea what might cause this. Note: Each user is working from home, not a shared office. Does anyone have an idea why this problem presents with RemoteApp only and not on the Remote Desktop for the same user? Thanks

Hello, When you are using remoteapp, you may have extra workflow: client -> rd web -> cb (for load balance) And then barely same as using RDP directly. I suppose if your user logged into another server in your farm because of an unexpected redirection. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you need any further assistance.
