SCOM 2012R2 - Customise Alert Detail/ Description on Console

Hi Team,

He received a request from our NOC and their manager to put in some "custom" instructions for Servers running a application.
for E-mail Notification, I am aware that I can do this for each individual Server running this Application set, by creating individual SMTP Channel and Subscription for each server with its individual instruction set.
As painful as it is, thats the way SCOM works.

However, how do i do this for the Alerts Details/ Alerts Description text on the console when an alert is generated?
I do know that the Text on the Default MP can not be amended as it is sealed so in order to amend the text I need to create an MP and override the Text in this new MP.

Is this correct?

If it is correct, how do i achieve this for a simple alerts such as "HealthServiceHeartbeat Failure" and/or "Failed to Connect to Computer"alerts?

the default alert looks like below:

37002-image.png

How do I amend the text in the alert description section or is there a way to Replicate The HealthServiceHeartbeat Failure monitor/alert?
I had a look in Authoring>Monitors and could not find anything useful in there.
I know there is a Ping Monitor MP by OpsLogix but the free version is very limited to ping down only.

is there any other MP's out there that has achieved this or any one has any ideas on how to achieve this?

You actually can override the alert description in sealed MPs : https://kevinholman.com/2020/08/02/how-to-override-the-alert-name-and-alert-description-of-a-sealed-monitor/

However I would say that in your case, a better solution could be to use some kind of Wiki with a dynamic link in SCOM console. When clicking on an alert, that would bring you to the right page with proper detailed instructions. Read here for example : https://code4ward.net/2013/09/03/use-sharepoint-wiki-as-scom-knowledge-base/

@Saiyad Rahim , To add custom information to alert descriptions and notifications, here is a blog from Kevin list the variables for the reference:
    https://kevinholman.com/2007/12/12/adding-custom-information-to-alert-descriptions-and-notifications/
Note: Non-Microsoft link, just for the reference.

    Hope it can help.
