Problem with my Authenticator App

I had to reset my phone and reinstall Microsoft App Authenticator. However, the authenticator has not recovered the credentials from my company Microsoft account and I did not have a backup. On top of that I might have a problem with the way the 2-steps verification method was setup the first time because it makes no sense to me the way it is responding. I will try to list all problems I have encountered:

  • Every time I try to logging to an app requiring 2-step verification method (like Azure), and it refers me to the Authenticator it never shows the number needed.
  • The login intent shows the following message "Open your Authenticator app, and enter the number shown to sign in", but there is no option in the Authenticator App to introduce the number.
  • When clicking under my account inside the authenticator app it only shows me the option to Set up 2-step verification, and it requires a QR Code that I don't have (I don't know from where to get that QR code it is requiring). The other option is to enter a code manually. I received a 6-digits code from my account administrator but it seems I'm not introducing the correct URL for the code and we don't know what URL we should be writing.
  • When reading the help and support articles they indicates to setup the proper devices and verification methods from my security info at https://myaccount.microsoft.com , but it takes me back to use the Authenticator App, which I can not use. So it is a never ending process.

On top of all it when I try to login to microsoft.com to setup the 2-step verification, according to the article "How to use and add Work/School accounts to Microsoft Authenticator app", I can not login using my company account. It says "That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different account..."

Please help me. My account administrator and I are out of alternatives here.
