Cannot Add New Network Device

I'm using SCOM 10.19.10050.0

I have added about 800 network devices into 1 resource pool - ND1

Now I want to add more network device, but using different resource pool - ND2. Every time I run network discovery this is the error

"An exception was thrown while processing SubmitTasks for session ID uuid:1af078a7-ae88-4379-b075-51c8a4d8365f;id=1.
Exception message: The creator of this fault did not specify a Reason.
Full Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Common.LocationObjectNotFoundException]: The creator of this fault did not specify a Reason. (Fault Detail is equal to Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Common.LocationObjectNotFoundException: The pool managing the instance is not available or the location monitoring object cannot be found.)."

I tried to change resource pool to ND1, but I still see the same error.

Any help is appreciated.

    Hi,

Based on the above description, we're using SCOM 2019 (without any URs or hotfix) and the error message is as below:

The pool managing the instance is not available or the location monitoring object cannot be found

From the error message, our problem may relate to network settings, e.g., firewall port blocking or settings in ConfigService.config describled in below article:

    http://jimmy-scom.blogspot.com/2017/12/the-pool-managing-instance-is-not.html
Note: this website is not from MS, just for your reference.

    Hope the above information helps.
