I can't boot my computer correctly after I edited AssocSystemFont in the registry to "simsun.ttc". Reinstalling the OS and booting the system in Safe Mode resulted in a BDOS. I also found that I can't find the FontAssoc folder in the registry. 20240114_165650

Troubleshooting returned no results and my computer has no previous states to restore to.

Hello, Thank you for posting in Q&A forum. If you are not able to boot the machine now, you will need to revert the windows registry change back by offline method. Please kindly follow below steps: 1.Prepare a USB with Windows Installation inside. 2.Plug the USB and start your PC, get PC boot into the installation. 3.On Windows Setup page, click "next" in lower right corner -> Repair your computer -> Select Troubleshoot option -> Select Command Prompt 4.Run bcdedit to find your PC driver letter 5.Run "regedit" to open registry editor and Click "Load" to load your PC registry. 6.Rever the change back and unload the registry. 7.Reopen registry edit and check if the change is taken. 8.Remove the USB and try to boot the PC and see if issue disappears. Best Regards, Hania Lian
