On the Documentation of Azure AI Search one can find a "Data Source Connector Galery" or "Indexer Galery" (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/search/search-data-sources-gallery). Seeing this one comes to the conclusion that there is / must be a way to create Custom Data Source Conectors.
However, the Documentation does not contain any information about that nor a hint that custom Data Connectors aren't possible.
I contacted the Documentation support (opened a ticket on Github for the Documentation on Azure AI Search Data Sources) but only got a short answer of "this is not possible". (https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs/issues/118757#event-11483075956)
I would like to know, how one can create a Data Source Connector so that i might support my own data sources.
Please make the Documentation for Custom Data Source Connectors available or add the possibility to create them.

@Hidden Thanks for your patience on this. I have checked with our internal and sharing the below. For data sources that are not available in Gallery, you can use our Push API to push the data into Azure AI Search.
That means we'll have to implement our own Change Detection per Index instead of creating a Data Source Connector that would include Change Detection and can be used on Multiple Indexes?
Put differently: We'll have to create everything from the Ground up to feed the Index directly?
Would it be smarter to use the Blob Storage to store the JSON instead of directly writing to the index and have the Blob Storage Connector trigger the Change Detection?
@Hidden Thanks for the follow-up questions. Yes, copying data to blob is definitely the preferred option in case you don't want to create your own connectors.
