Hello,
We have deployed Azure WAF infront of Linux webserver, the webserver is connected to Azure blob storage.
When we try to download a file over 1GB the downloading stops when it reaches 1GB with error "network issue". We have checked the logs on the Linux and it doesnt indicate any issues from it side.
We didnt have this issue before deploying WAF.
How do we increase the download limit in WAF?

The issue is with downloading not uploading, also i have turned off inspect request body and tried to download and still same issue.
Hi Ahmed , Its works similarly for both upload or download , so as per the documentation it is mentioned that if you use WAFV2 with CRS 3.2 for your Azure App Gateway you will have file upload/download limit up to 4 GB and please check above answer to how to modify the limit in Waf , please once try this and check

I have turned off inspect request body and still get the same error when downloading.
Also i have increased the limit to the maximum numbers and get the same error, its when i download anything above 1GB it stops at 1GB and give an error with network issue.

I have contacted Microsoft support and they have advised me to try to disable response and request buffer through Azure CLI and it did fix the issue.
Your suggestion was the solution.

Hi @Ahmad Radwan , App Gateway has a buffering limit around 1 GB. Can you try disabling Response buffer on your App Gateway and see if it helps. Reference doc: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/application-gateway/proxy-buffers#how-to-change-the-buffer-settings

That page doesn't seem to be valid for WAF2 SKU.
I have the same problem, how can I disable that buffering?

Request buffering cannot be disabled if you are running the WAF SKU of Application Gateway. The WAF requires the full request to buffer as part of processing, therefore, even if you disable request buffering within Application Gateway the WAF will still buffer the request. Response buffering is not impacted by the WAF

How do I disable response buffering on WAF2 SKU?
When I try with the documentation provided I get the error:

It's a bit weird the decision to have this kind of limitations.
